The Brief
Ace IT Relocation has worked with CDW on multiple different projects ranging from office IT relocation, Server relocation and Data Centre relocation projects.
CDW contacted Ace IT Relocation when they needed assistance because of this previous relationship and our exemplary manual handling procedures with all IT equipment.
CDW also stated while Ace IT Relocation was the most cost-effective solution in addition past professionalism left us as preferred partners for this project.
The Relocation
CDW informed us from the beginning their customer was very high profile and undergoing a massive transformation to their business structure as part of this office IT relocation.
As with every project Ace IT Relocation assigned a Project Manager to plan and facilitate the implantation of this project to the highest standards.
CDW, the customer, needed 200 users with dual monitors including personal user crates relocated from their office in Reading to their new office in Theale in 1 phase.
The project had a start time of 08.30 hours on a Saturday, CDW’s customer choosing to a time suitable for the office to be ready by the following Monday morning without any issues and to limit disruption to business.
All equipment was powered down by the client before Ace IT Relocation arrived onsite, our engineers de-commissioned each PC from current desk position in Reading.
Each PC was expertly wrapped in anti-static bubble wrap protection to avoid static discharging and placed in purpose-built PC Relocation crates.
Ace IT Relocation’s engineers then secured each crate into our GPS tracked air ride vehicles.
Ace IT Relocation offers professional services onsite and was required to re-commission all 200 PCs in accordance with the desk diagrams provided. Our engineers also tested the PCs in Theale so CDW’s customer could guarantee business continuity.
Result
Knowing how important this element of the overall project was to CDW’s customer insuring they were ready to access all operating systems come Monday was paramount.
With our experience, professional engineers, and thorough project management CDW’s customer suffered no delay to business continuity and could access their network Monday morning.
