Mode selection is driven by what you’re shipping (dims/weights, lithium/DG, stack ability), where it’s going, and how fast it must arrive. We route point-to-point where possible, book protected connections, and build export-safe packs (flight cases or pallet + collars) that survive the main leg and final mile. Every piece is labelled, sealed, and tracked; milestones and exceptions are timestamped into the runbook.
Routing & risk controls: We aim for direct routes with protected connections; where hubs are unavoidable, we pre-plan recovery: re-flight, relay drive, or re-route. Load plans keep heavy items low and central; pallets are blocked and strapped, flight cases are chocked and restrained at rated points. Any overnighting is in alarmed/CCTV facilities.
Dimensional (volumetric) weight: Air and courier networks charge the higher of actual vs. volumetric weight (e.g., L×W×H/6000–5000 cm divisor). We confirm piece dims/weights, pallet types (EU/UK/US), and ULD compatibility so quotes and cut-offs are accurate. Sea uses chargeable volume (CBM) for LCL and flat FCL rates by container.
Site access & load plan: We capture dock height/leveller, tail-lift needs, lift capacities, stairs/long pushes, booking windows, and building rules. On the day we bring load plates/ramps, skates, lifters and protection (mats/guards), and publish a minute-by-minute run sheet so collection and delivery are predictable.
Security & custody: Where possible vehicles are unbranded; doors are sealed with numbered tags; every hand-off is photographed. We maintain a chain-of-custody manifest (case/pallet IDs, seal numbers, times, and signatories) and keep an exceptions log with owner and ETA for resolution.
Milestones & tracking: You’ll see: collection, terminal hand-off, main-leg depart/arrive, out for delivery, and POD with seal-break photo. We also offer live ETAs which if requested are shared on a single thread; all artefacts land in your evidence pack at close otherwise known as the infrastructure planner document that will include all project information.
Final-mile options: As standard (unless specified) we offer a white-glove delivery to room, de-crating and waste removal, and a short smart-hands window (place, power, link checks) if you need basic on-site help. Please discuss the requirement with your dedicated project manager who will offer advice around the best methodology.
What we need from you:
Right mode, right route, right controls: that’s how consignments arrive on time and intact. Share your inventory, deadlines and access notes—we’ll return a governed plan with the most suitable transport tier, protected connections, and an audit-ready evidence pack when it’s done.
