Data Centre & Colocation Services

We move and build workplace IT with governed, evidence-led methods—covering office relocations, desktop deployment, meeting room & AV, desk cable management, and connectivity testing. Every job runs under RAMS and permits, with labelled assets, disciplined cabling, and minute-by-minute run sheets so downtime is low and handovers are clean.

From pack-out to power-up we control risk and prove outcomes: anti-static packing and direct transport; mapped desks and tidy looms; AV re-mount and commissioning; and post-move login/network checks. You receive an audit-ready pack—manifests, photos, test results, and sign-offs—so internal/external reviews are straightforward.

TRADERS (3-9 MONITORS)

From £150 Per User
Designed for 3–9 screens with docks and specialist mounting brackets. Includes additional standard kit and login/monitor orientation testing as standard.

Pack & Move (Client Re-Cable): This option uses the same premium packing and transport standards—visual inspection, anti-static wrap, flight cases/crates, restrained loads, direct routes, and optional live tracking. On arrival we unpack and place equipment exactly to plan, then hand back to your team for re-commission. A final joint walk-round confirms everything has been migrated safely and accounted for.

De-Cable to Re-Cable (Full Service): On move day our engineers visually inspect all kit, then de-commission PCs, monitors, phones and peripherals, wrapping everything in anti-static protection and loading into dedicated relocation crates or flight cases. Equipment travels on direct routes in GPS-tracked, air-ride vehicles with proper restraints; we can provide your representative with a live tracking login. At destination we clear security, move items to position, and re-commission precisely to the desk plan—power-up and basic functional tests included—before a joint walk-round with your rep to confirm a clean handover and close any exceptions.

What tools & equipment do we use to cable manage:

Containment: wire-basket tray, perforated tray, ladder rack, mini/dado trunking (segregated), display drops, projector shrouds, under-desk trays/baskets, wall/floor brush grommets, conduit and glands.

Fixings & dressings: Velcro (data/AV), selective cable ties (power/anchors), strain-relief/lacing bars, cable combs, adhesive bases with mechanical backup, edge grommet strips.

Labelling: Heat-shrink or flag IDs at both ends (plus mid-run on long pulls), colour sleeves by path – distinct colours for power, data, fibre, and a matching label index in the cable schedule

Power: PDUs with labelled circuits, surge-protected gangs for desks, power and data run in segregated containment, and planned service loops so maintenance doesn’t pull on cable.

Your move shouldn’t rely on guesswork. We scope precisely, protect the building, pack with purpose, and re-commission like-for-like—then prove it with photos, registers, and test results. Whether it’s desks, racks, AV rooms or connectivity, the outcome is the same: clean cabling, working systems, and an audit-ready handover with zero drama.

Ace IT Relocation Frequently Asked Questions:

Ace IT Relocation specialises in moving and installing business-critical technology— from office IT rollouts and desk builds to full data-centre migrations and international freight for servers, storage and AV.

Every job follows secure processes with labelled assets, sealed consignments, tracked transport and evidence-ready reporting. Whether you need same-day help across town or a customs-cleared shipment overseas, our engineers plan, pack, move and re-commission your kit so you’re ready to work on day one.

Below you’ll find answers to the questions we’re asked most often. If you don’t see what you need, just ask.

We support a broad range of data centre relocation projects, including:

  • Single rack and multi-rack moves.

  • Office-to-colocation migrations.

  • Data centre-to-data centre relocations.

  • Hardware refresh and replacement logistics.

  • Phased migrations for live environments.

  • Secure transport of servers, network hardware, and storage.

Each project is planned around site access, equipment sensitivity, custody requirements, and delivery sequencing to reduce disruption and risk.

In many cases, yes — with careful planning and phased execution. For critical systems, we work around maintenance windows, staged cutovers, and agreed migration plans to reduce the risk of avoidable disruption.

Where zero or minimal downtime is required, projects are usually structured around pre-move audits, dependency checks, fallback planning, and tightly controlled handover. The exact approach depends on the equipment, environment, and business-criticality involved.

Data centre equipment requires a more controlled approach than standard commercial moves. Protection measures may include:

  • Anti-static protection and specialist wrapping.

  • Rack and server-specific packing methods.

  • Secure lifting and handling equipment.

  • Controlled loading and unloading procedures.

  • Tamper-evident measures and documented custody.

  • Transport methods designed to reduce vibration and handling risk.

The objective is to ensure hardware arrives in the same condition it left, ready for installation, re-racking, or recommissioning.

Yes. We support moves into, out of, and between colocation and provider-operated environments across the UK. This includes projects involving scheduled access, delivery windows, escort requirements, and site-specific operating procedures.

Typical examples include moving equipment between facilities, consolidating infrastructure into a new provider environment, or transitioning from office/server room setups into colocation space. These projects often benefit from tighter planning, clearer reporting, and structured handover.

Yes. Many projects require more than transport alone, so we can support audit-led relocation processes that improve visibility and accountability from collection through to delivery.

Depending on the project, this may include:

  • Asset lists and item verification.

  • Tagged or recorded equipment handling.

  • Chain-of-custody documentation.

  • Delivery and handover confirmation.

  • Photographic records where required.

  • Structured reporting for internal project teams.

This is especially useful for high-value, business-critical, or compliance-sensitive equipment moves.

Yes. We can support urgent and time-sensitive data centre relocation work where speed matters, provided the project is still approached in a controlled and practical way.

Typical urgent scenarios include recovery-related moves, short-notice provider transitions, priority collections, and tightly scheduled deliveries into live environments. Even when time is limited, the focus remains on secure handling, coordinated access, and reducing avoidable risk throughout the move.
