How Does It Work: Data Removal & Reporting

Ace IT Relocation delivers certified data removal for all data-bearing assets — drives, servers, storage arrays, or mobile devices — whether bound for reuse or recycling.

Using software verified by the National Cyber Security Centre’s Commercial Product Assurance (CPA) programme, we perform irreversible erasure to NIST, HMG IA, and DoD standards.

Where digital erasure is not viable, we degauss, shred, or crush media under controlled, audited conditions.

Onsite Certified Data Erasure

From £650+ £12 per drive

Individual drive certificates, serial-linked logs and any exceptions flagged and crushed/shredded. Erasure using Blancco or Global EMEA to NIST, HMG IA, and DoD 5220.22-M standards.

Offsite Certified Data Erasure

From £400+ £12 per drive

Controlled Collection & Verification

Each project begins with an on-site verification and manifest. Our DBS-cleared engineers arrive in GPS-tracked, air-ride vehicles to collect and seal all data-bearing assets.

Items are barcoded, photographed, and logged by serial number. Once the manifest is signed, legal responsibility transfers to Ace IT, ensuring an unbroken chain of custody through to final certification.

Certified Digital Erasure

Devices capable of reuse are processed through dedicated erasure rigs using certified software such as Blancco or Global EMEA tools. Each drive is overwritten, verified, and logged automatically, producing a tamper-proof certificate tied to its serial number.

This ensures complete data removal in accordance with GDPR — no recoverable data, no residual risk.

Physical Destruction (Crushing / Shredding / De-Gauss

If digital erasure fails or devices are not suitable for reuse, they are physically destroyed under audit control. We offer on-site or depot-based degaussing, shredding, or crushing using ADISA-approved equipment.

Each serial is logged, photographed, and matched to a timestamp and technician ID for your audit file.
Destroyed media is then passed to licensed recycling partners for compliant material recovery.
