The Brief
Having previously carried out multiple successful Data Centre Migrations for Data Techniques on projects of a similar scale within the UK, they contacted Ace IT Relocation because of this previous relationship and our reputation for maintaining uptime at critical times. Knowing that Ace IT Relocation covers Europe as well as the UK, Data Techniques knew we could deal with the full scale of their project.
The Relocation
As with all projects that Ace IT Relocation undertake, we assigned one of our experienced Project Managers to oversee the project. This project was being performed for one of Data Techniques largest customers as such stringent project planning was put in place to make sure all parties understood their individual responsibilities at each stage.
Detailed move schedules were agreed and all rack diagrams were designed to plan where each server would be installed back in the racks.
Ace IT Relocation offers professional services onsite depending on the customer requirements, in this case, Ace IT Relocation were requested to de-rack 2 racks worth of infrastructure in Heathrow and re-rack all rack mountable infrastructure in Stockholm. To ensure all equipment was transported successfully our engineers brought all required equipment and legal requirements to travel through Europe without hindrance.
Once in Sweden the equipment was re-racked in accordance with the rack diagrams provided. Our server engineers remained onsite to support Data Technique until the project was completed.

Knowing how important Data Technique’s customer was to their business meeting all agreed SLA’s was absolutely essential. With Ace IT Relocation’s Project Manager Data Techniques were able to give their customer accurate timeline during the migration with on-going updates from Ace IT Relocation. Data Techniques customer experienced no unplanned downtime at any point of this migration project.
